Principal's Message

Principal

Dear Parents,

As our school year continues and Holidays are approaching, we want to thank you for your continuous support. Yet as weather changes and holidays around the corner, our attendance has been declining. Making school attendance a priority will nurture good grades, develop good habits, responsible and confident students. It is very difficult to build skills and progress if your child is absent. Our teachers and staff work diligently to get them prepared for the upcoming year and STAAR TEST. Daily attendance is one very powerful way to ensure students’ academic success. Its effect on your child’s learning may become evident as they struggle to keep up with the pace and making up for missed assignments and forgotten skills. Please do not allow your child to fall through the cracks, we encourage you to send them daily. If your child becomes ill during the day, our exceptional nursing staff will call if necessary. Please help us achieve our goal of 98% attendance for the benefit of every child.

From all the Teachers and Staff at Santa Maria Elementary we want to wish you a relaxing and wonderful holiday season.

Keep up with school events by logging into our Santa Maria Elementary Facebook! You can find the link in our web page under Twitter Alerts. Make sure to follow us in Facebook and Twitter.

Warmest regards,

Mr.Jose A. De Leon
Principal
